Cloud based computing has become so popular, that it’s hard to imagine utilizing any system that doesn’t have a cloud based option. Businesses have benefited from cloud based solutions by seeing a decrease in up-front costs and increase in user efficiency. Companies no longer have to spend money and IT resources on costly servers and server upgrades. With the cloud, gone are the days when companies had to come up with their own disaster recovery plans. Cloud computing providers take care of the server maintenance and provide security and software updates, which allows the customers to focus their resources on other things.

Application Programing Interface (API) is a set of routines, protocols and tools for building software applications. An API is a software-to-software interface. APIs allow applications to communicate with each other without the end user even realizing that there were separate applications communicating. The end user only sees the one interface and doesn’t even know when one application sends information to another application.
